Brandon Adcock comes from a modest background, but he always knew that one thing was for sure - he would use his knowledge to help people! John Kim’s background is nothing to scoff at either. As a graduate of both the United States Military Academy at West Point and Harvard University, it’s obvious he is a bright mind. John even founded Visual Point Media while attending Harvard University. Brandon’s ambition and imagination, coupled with John’s previous expertise became a force to be reckoned with!
How Does One Start Making Healthcare Great Again?
Even while studying, John Kim knew that part of his passion in life was entrepreneurship. In fact, that was the main reason for his sudden interest that led to him opening his own company which is still active today. But this wasn’t enough!
Maybe it was partly due to the harsh and firm military regime, but John pushed on further looking for more; a place where he could grow beyond his wildest dreams. And that was what guided young John to that fateful seminar.
On the other side, Brandon completed his education and was at a stalemate. He was a stellar student, but right out of college, he had trouble finding a steady job. Nonetheless, he landed a spot in a consultant firm in Washington DC. However, there was still something missing.
He kept on feeling lost and drained from the constant pressure of using his Political Science and Marketing degree, so that is why he decided to let life take the steering wheel for a change.
As luck would have it, it led him to the right place! In 2005, Brandon attended an entrepreneurship concept where he got a bigger look into Internet Marketing and all the possibilities tied with it. And that was the turning point!
In the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis, the pair met and the gears started turning. Both Brandon and Kim noticed how advertising rates had plummeted, and also observed a fast-growing demand for high-quality nutritional supplements on the internet.
So, it should come as no surprise that these two savvy young men seized the opportunity they had been given to form Direct Digital, which would address these exact issues!
Let There Be Health!
The combination of the two seasoned entrepreneurs and the newfound growing demand for quality nutritional supplements was like a match made in heaven. After meeting at an industry conference and becoming friends fast, they saw the opportunity they were presented with and formed Direct Digital.
After starting the company in 2009, the duo invested heavily into intense research and development. Their hard work paid off later that year when they launched their first product, Instaflex Joint Support, which proved to be a booming success. Sales quickly skyrocketed and exceeded any expectations they may have had thusfar.
Thanks to the success of Instaflex, the company partnered up with the Arthritis Foundation in 2013 to donate a portion of the sales to non-profit organizations. Today, the Instaflex brand is a proud sponsor of the Foundation and donates heavily to arthritis research. With that in hand, Direct Digital continued making even more successful products. For example, there’s their Nugenix men’s health product line, which was named ‘Best Product Innovation’ of 2013 by GNC.
