Nuvo Cares: Appreciating Life from the Very Beginning

NuvoCares

Expecting mothers should expect no less than to be appropriately treated by innovation.

Every 7th out of 10 women experiences some difficulties during their pregnancy. Mothers need to be constantly supervised and communicate with professionals to eliminate possible inconveniences.

To avoid unnecessary worries, Oren Oz and his FDA-approved Nuvo introduced a platform that will help monitor pregnant ladies’ well-being throughout. Through AI, Nuvo gives checks, stress tests, and virtual appointments for mothers when they need it the most.

With Nuvo Cares, Oren launched a platform that would remotely monitor a woman's pregnancy through data collection, software solutions given by AI tools, and maternal and fetal heart rate supervision.

Nuvo Cares had the goal to give early life a proper beginning. By inventing the first-ever remote pregnancy monitor, fewer ladies will experience hardships during pregnancies.

This is the fascinating story of how Oren is responsible for tons of happy babies born daily.

Early Start

Oren Oz was born in the late 1980s in Tel Aviv, Israel. Growing up with a bonded and close family, Oren was raised as a true gentleman. He had a certain charm and charisma that mesmerised everyone talking to him. From a very early age, Oren was extremely talented, not just with communicating his points to people.

He excelled in school and showed gifts for mathematics and logistics which was due to his incredible memory capabilities. Because he was naturally communicative, Oren had big entrepreneurial dreams. Apart from having big business dreams, Oren always wanted to become a father himself. Oren believed that no one is truly happy alone, and the best riches are not material. He knew that he wanted to help people somehow and raise awareness about often overlooked or unnoticed issues.

Nothing surprised him more than getting his first-ever PC. This moment would mark the pivotal point for Oren’s life as he would choose computer sciences for his career path. This was his way of being true to his talents, his parent's wishes, and his future goals. He wouldn’t know just how much those computer sciences will come in handy in the future.

Oren, later on, enrolled in Ben‐Gurion University to get a degree in computer sciences in hopes of one day getting closer to figuring out that exact goal.

Building Bricks

After graduating with honours from the University, Oren did not rest easy. He wanted to use his knowledge for a more significant cause and help individuals in need during the process. When he was out of ideas and did not wish to further his education, Oren turned towards his country.

Unbelievably, Oren focused his life on serving the Israeli air force for five whole years. This was a time of building a character that would prepare him to enter the business world.

Meanwhile, Oren volunteered and worked with many offices in the technological sphere. Here he gathered much-needed info on how to further his computer science knowledge. This is where Oren would first ‘play’ with artificial intelligence, which is crucial for his future career development.

During this time, Oren would also meet the love of his life and quickly join the world of parenthood.

When Life Happens

Because Oren dreamed his entire life of fatherhood, he was pleased with the way events were unfolding. Career-wise, Oren jumped from office to office, providing useful points for companies in need while simultaneously building his resume. He did not know that what would happen next would shape his future life for years to come.

During his wife’s third pregnancy, Oren encountered troubles first-hand. His wife couldn’t move much and was advised to rest. Because of the anxiety and fear, he promised that nothing wrong would ever happen because of outdated processes. No more would women endure issues that technology could have tackled early on.

He would credit this journey to navigating him towards launching Nuvo Cares. A platform that will genuinely take care of expecting mothers. Because his wife had such a high-risk pregnancy and their period was extremely stressful, Oren wanted to create a better world for expecting parents.

Right after his third child was born, Oren launched Nuvo Cares in 2014. The company aims to relieve expecting parents from the stress caused by outdated practices and pregnancy monitoring. Nuvo Cares cares deeply about expecting parents, and through their invention, they can reinvent pregnancy monitoring from the start.

By using the best technology possible, Oren promises expecting women a happier and healthier journey- stress and worry-free. With just a few clicks away, every expecting mother can get the care and treatment she deserves.

New Worries

Oren used his extensive background in technology and marketing to create a connected health platform that would provide data for professionals. Nuvo Cares bases its existence on one grand invention, and that’s Invu.

Invu is a remote-pregnancy monitoring and maintenance system. It allows users to have virtual check-ups, non-stress-tests, and constant advice with gynecologists. Pregnancy is an unpredictable process, and this was a new way of keeping the doctors connected with their patients no matter the time or place.

The AI-generated Invu helps reshape pregnancy care to a more empowering experience for women. Without having to worry about the baby’s health constantly, they have an AI-powered system that allows them to communicate around the clock.

Invu was supported by the Innovation Authority in Israel and got tons of recognition and awards. It even gathered the attention of some of the top healthcare organisations and got multiple grants.

In January 2018, Nuvo Cares raised $30M in a Venture round from Shareholder Value Management. It previously had 3 funding rounds for an undisclosed amount. The most significant milestone was hit when Invu was recognised and approved by the FDA.

However, through the years, Nuvo Cares encountered some issues. In 2021 Nuvo Group, under which Nuvo Cares is situated, filed for an IPO, and their initial public offering for the US was $50 million. During the same period, Oren stepped down as CEO and left the reins to Kelly Londy.
His ventures continue in the business world, and his legacy lives on with thousands of smiling mothers worldwide.

Nuvo Cares, Today

Novo Cares today has 51-100 employees who work tirelessly on AI systems for monitoring healthcare. Their headquarters are still in Tel Aviv, Oren’s native Israel.

Over the years, the pregnancy care platform raised over $30M in 4 funding rounds. Their last funding was in January 2020, from a venture series round for an unannounced amount. Nuvo Cares has garnered a few investors, with Kli Capital and Shareholder Value Management as the most notable.

Aside from their HQ in Telaviv, Nuvo Cares today has offices in New Jersey, as well as Kyiv, Ukraine.

Nuvo Cares’ plans involve the Invu platform monitoring uterine activity. This means that doctors will be able to follow the child’s well-being from the office. Invu is also planned to fulfil stress tests as well as prenatal tests weeks before birth.

By giving women more freedom during pregnancy, Nuvo Cares reinvented the pregnancy period for mothers all around. Thanks to INVU, mothers can remain home safe and sound without the stresses of outside exposure.

By using a stressful experience as his guide, Oren empowered women even more by allowing them more comfort. His invention gave reassurance to expecting parents that life can be given meaning starting from the womb.
